The T'ai Chi Ch'uan Center of Milwaukee
has been offering quality training in T'ai Chi Ch'uan for over 30 years. The Center was incorporated in 1976 as a 501c3 non-profit, educational corporation, by Founder and Head Instructor, Michael Milewski, who is the current Director of the school. He continues to teach the T’ai Chi form as well as pushing hands practice, sword. and other martial art forms. He has continued his studies with masters from China, Taiwan and the U.S. and is trained in several styles of T’ai Chi, as well as other internal martial arts and Shao Lin Kung Fu. He brings the richness of his training to the students at the T’ai Chi Center through regular form and special, (or short-term) classes.
T’ai Chi Ch’uan is a traditional Chinese exercise practiced for health, relaxation, meditation and self-defense. The style of T’ai Chi taught at the Center is Yang’s style, as developed by Professor Cheng Man Ching, (also called Cheng’s style) The Yang style T’ai Chi basic exercise is taught in consecutive weekly classes, taking six months to complete. After the basic form is learned students can continue to train in advanced classes, including form corrections, and pushing-hands practice. Periodic special classes, including T’ai Chi sword and staff forms are also taught.
